Dr. Jomson Baagra, the first gynecologist to establish an IVF Centre in Arunachal Pradesh, brought new hope to countless infertile couples by delivering the state’s first IVF baby in 2019.
As Arunachal Pradesh’s only gynecologist trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery across France, Germany, Indonesia, Canada, Singapore, and India, Dr. Bagra has set a benchmark in minimally invasive gynecological procedures. Recognized as the state’s sole advanced laparoscopic endometriosis surgeon, he has successfully performed more than 5,000 advanced laparoscopic surgeries.
He is the Founder of August Women’s Clinic & IVF Centre, Arunachal Pradesh’s first fully equipped, state-of-the-art women’s hospital dedicated to comprehensive gynecological care.
Dr. Bagra is an esteemed member of FOGSI, APAGE, and IAGE, and serves as a National Faculty in gynecological workshops across India. He has trained many doctors at NIBA Hospital,Tomo Riba Institute Of Health And Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), and at August Women’s Clinic, Naharlagun Arunachal Pradesh while also mentoring upcoming gynecologists and MBBS students in fertility and laparoscopic surgeries.
His professional journey has been enriched under the mentorship of world-renowned experts — Prof. Horace Roman (France), Prof. Tinneberg (Germany), Prof. Metler (Germany), and Dr. Prashant Mangeshkar (India) — all highly respected figures in the field of gynecology and laparoscopic surgery.
