It is a bridge back to themselves.

When the Face is Familiar, But the Name is Not. 😔🫂
One of the toughest challenges in the middle stage of Alzheimer's arises when loved ones struggle with recognition. This image captures that heartbreaking moment—a child or grandchild looking lovingly at their parent/grandparent, yet finding no flicker of recognition in their eyes.
Problems recognizing friends and family is an emotionally devastating symptom of the middle stage. It reminds us that even when cognitive recognition fades, connection through love and touch is still possible.
This is a time when caregivers need the most support, as they find new ways to connect and be present with their loved one.

Our walk is to let every family know they are not alone. 💜
