की और से आप सभी को दुर्गा अष्टमी हार्दिक शुभकामनाये l
आज शारदीय नवरात्रि की अष्टमी तिथि है। इसे दुर्गाष्टमी और महा अष्टमी के नाम से जाना जाता है। नवरात्रि के आठवें दिन मां शक्ति के आठवें स्वरूप मां महागौरी की पूजा का विधान होता है और इस दिन कन्या पूजन किया जाता है। जिसमें 2 वर्ष से लेकर 10 वर्ष की आयु की कन्या को घर पर बुलाकर उनका स्वागत और पूजा की जाती है। नवरात्रि के पर्व पर दुर्गा अष्टमी और नवमी तिथि का विशेष महत्व होता है।
मां महागौरी के मंत्
श्वेते वृषे समारूढा श्वेताम्बरधरा शुचिः।
महागौरी शुभं दद्यान्त्र महादेव प्रमोददा।।

या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ स्कन्दमाता रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नम:॥
जब देवी पार्वती भगवान स्कंद की माता बनीं, तब माता पार्वती को देवी स्कंदमाता के रूप में जाना गया। वह कमल के फूल पर विराजमान हैं, और इसी वजह से स्कंदमाता को देवी पद्मासना के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। देवी स्कंदमाता का रंग शुभ्र है, जो उनके श्वेत रंग का वर्णन करता है। जो भक्त देवी के इस रूप की पूजा करते हैं, उन्हें भगवान कार्तिकेय की पूजा करने का लाभ भी मिलता है। भगवान स्कंद को कार्तिकेय के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

अत्र-शस्त्र: चार हाथ - माँ अपने ऊपरी दो हाथों में कमल के फूल रखती हैं है। वह अपने एक दाहिने हाथ में बाल मुरुगन को और अभय मुद्रा में है। भगवान मुरुगन को कार्तिकेय और भगवान गणेश के भाई के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।
