Why I love water fasts?
They really help yoke my mind away from food and other sensory distractions that are directed outwards and help my awareness to stay centered inward (specially on the breath and heartbeat) 💓 This development of prātyāhār (whether for a few hours or days) has such a stilling effect on the mind, body and being. Really helps to slow everything down 🐢, able to savour each moment while naturally flowing with each inhale and exhale. The breath for me on a water fast becomes extremely prominent making it easy to settle the awareness there for longer periods of time (something that any yoga sadhaka strives towards) 🙏😇

Are you clear on your intentions yet? Did you meditate? Contemplate? Journal? If not then. DO IT NOW ! !
Setting an intention for 2020 means getting present with the lessons and blessings from the year that’s passed. .
You have a beautiful chance right now to get present with what’s working in your life and what isn’t - to get clear on your goals you want to achieve, the boundaries you want to draw, the baggage you want to leave behind. Setting intention for 2020 is a sacred practice. .
Sit in meditation, journal, inquire and contemplate big picture questions that will lead us to our inner truth. Once we understand and accept what’s come our way we can feel into our hearts for the change and inspiration we truly long to see in our future.
This practice is really really good. And it works!! It’s free all you need is some undisturbed time, a pen and a journal book.🌸

MAY - Mental Health Awareness month!
It is time we break the stigma!
Much like Alzheimer, mental disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders and psychotic conditions are not visible conditions. Because they hide in the brain and can be harder to treat. Since the stigma of seeking treatment for mental health still exists, many often never get help. An estimated 1 in 5 people experience a mental health issue in a given year and reports indicate that this number has increased in younger adults over the past decade.
Since this is the beginning of Mental Health Awareness month, let us be of support for those battling mental illness and spread the word on mental health.
Allow others to feel comfortable enough to speak out loud and be proud of it!
May we continue to strive towards developing healthier social norms through learning, connecting, supporting and understanding one another 🌺🙏

FULL MOON RITUAL FOR Y’ALL
🌙 Set up a sacred space by lighting soothing candles or incense
🌙 Meditate for 10-15 mins
🌙 write a list of elements/situations/people/habits/behaviours/ you wish to let go of
🌙 With a willingness to release, burn the list and drop it into a bowl of water

Hey y'all ! It's been so long and I haven't been posting any updates. I've been a little busy but, I'm back now!
The past few weeks have been every eventful, I'm learning to play a new instrument, exploring places, travelling a lot lately but today was a free day and so to kill time, I decided to paint! ❤ And while I was at it, I thought to myself, it's such a wonderful world🎼 and I'm grateful for so many things in life.
My loving parents!😘 A piping hot cup of ginger tea❤ My artworks. Discovering that I like avacados. 😬Snuggles under the warm covers, sleeping in! A random walk in the nature's vicinity. Finding more loose tees in my pile of clothes 😂 Healed fingers. My lovely F.R.I.E.N.D.S. ❣
Even though I'm sleepy and in bed as I write this and have an early morning flight the next day, I think about all the good things in life that I'm thankful for 🌸 and that's why I'm going to focus more on showing gratitude from today.
We gotta be grateful for what we ALREADY have. The universal intelligence is always responding to your thoughts and words. Life will definitely begin to change as you start appreciating the things you are grateful for. Do you agree ?
