🌼✨ Rakhi Celebrations at CBDC Jaipur! ✨🌼
On 8th August, our centre turned into a vibrant space filled with laughter, learning, and love as we hosted our Mini Mart & Rakhi Card Activity to celebrate the spirit of Raksha Bandhan. 🎉🪁
Our little champs enthusiastically participated in setting up stalls, role-playing as shopkeepers and customers, and expressing their creativity through beautiful Rakhi card-making. 🛍️🎨💌
But beyond the celebration, this activity was a thoughtfully designed therapeutic experience. Here's how it helped our children grow:
🧠 Cognitive Skills: Handling money, selecting items, and making decisions in the Mini Mart nurtured their problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
🗣️ Communication: Interacting with peers and therapists in a playful setup encouraged turn-taking, eye contact, and use of language—both verbal and non-verbal.
🤲 Fine Motor Development: Cutting, pasting, and decorating Rakhi cards supported hand-eye coordination and fine motor control.
🧍♂️ Social Skills: Working in groups, waiting for their turn, and sharing materials helped build social interaction and cooperation.
💖 Emotional Expression: The Rakhi cards gave them a chance to express love and appreciation in their own unique ways—strengthening emotional bonding and empathy.
Watching each child engage with joy and confidence reminded us why play-based and festive activities are such a powerful part of therapy. 🌈
