Allegations of election fraud have sent shockwaves through the recent Rajasthan State Dental Council elections, with claims that Dr. Vikas Jeph and his panel were disqualified under questionable circumstances. According to Dr. Jeph, election chair Dr. Anjali Kapoor and returning officer Dr. Sankalp Mittal endorsed opposing candidate Dr. H.L. Gupta, who was subsequently declared the winner in a manner perceived as secretive, despite assurances to refer the matter to the state government. Council members are appealing for a re-election process rooted in transparency and equity.
In an interview with news channel Samachar Plus, Dr. Vikas Jeph voiced concerns about the integrity of the election, asserting that Dr. Kapoor and Dr. Mittal failed to adhere to election guidelines and disqualified his team without providing any official explanation.
Samachar Plus attempted to contact Dr. Anjali Kapoor, who declined to comment and disconnected without addressing Dr. JephтАЩs allegations. Dr. Sankalp Mittal similarly avoided questions, offering no explanation for the disqualificationsтАФfueling further suspicions of bias and procedural violations in favor of their preferred candidates.
As calls for an investigation grow, the council awaits a response from the state government regarding the alleged irregularities and demands for a transparent, rule-based election process.
