A very well received outreach against addiction by CARe RHL at Rambagh Golf Club today.
The attendees underwent health checkup including assessment, feedback and counselling about their alcohol and to***co use.
Fibroscan of liver was done to ascertain long term liver damage and followed by appropriate feedback.
Thiamine tablets were distributed for prevention of cognitive damage to alcohol use.
Dr Raghav Shah, Dr Sanjay Jain and Dr Chitrakshee were the experts for the camp.
Dr S S Agarwal, Dr Anjali Jain , Dr Ashu Shah and Dr Sarvesh Agarwal also graced the event.

First impressions are lasting!
Pleasure to be invited as the guest faculty for the orientation program of freshers in psychology stream at the Amity Institute of Behavioral and Allied Sciences.
We discussed about the ‘Healing alliance of Psychology and Psychiatry’ and how it can be collaborative and beneficial to the patients.
Grateful to Dr Mani Sachdeva PHOD and Dr Harsh*ta Kumar, Assistant Prof for inviting me.

International Day against Drug Abuse and Trafficking 26th June.
Honoured to be invited as resource person for the State level seminar for capacity building of government officials against drug abuse. It was a privilege to share the stage with our honourable young and energetic cabinet minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Sh Avinash Gehlot Ji, Director Samaj Kakyan (MSJE) Smt Reena Sharma Ji, Additional Director MSJE Sh B P Chandel Ji, Narcotics Control Bureau Suptdt Sh Avdhesh Kumar Ji and Harish Bhutani Ji from Nav Vikalp Sansthan.
The seminar had more than 300 participants and its interactive nature ensured important take home messages to be carried forward in the society. Addiction has gone beyond to***co and alcohol to hard drugs and this day serves as a reminder for the community to protect itself.

‘Make sleep health a priority’ World Sleep Day 2025
At Red FM with RJ Arjun, a practical discussion about healthy sleep and why sleep problems should not be trivialised. Insomnia includes difficulty in onset, midnight awakenings, premature waking up, bad dreams which can lead to a daytime difficulty of concentration, irritability and feeling lethargic. Many physical health and mental health problems are also a result of a lack of restful sleep.

Invited as faculty for a thematic presentation at the National Conference of Psychiatrists association of Nepal, PANCON 2024. The theme was apt for my interest “Psychiatry and addiction: Navigating challenges and opportunities”.
Pleasure to meet some inspiring seniors and friends in this confluence of academics and socialising.

People often say “Life in villages is free of stress” or but how true is it?
Participated as a faculty at the 9th National Conference for Society for Rural Mental Health at NIMS University Jaipur.
I presented on the essentials of addiction treatment and prevention in rural areas which sparked an insightful discussion. Some counter intuitive points came up too.
Grateful to Dr Anil Tambi and Dr Tushar Jagawat for inviting me and wonderfully organising the conference.

Alcohol use with liver disease often needs an integrated effort of an Addiction treatment specialist and a Hepatologist.
It was a pleasure to associate with the Centre for Digestive Sciences at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and being a guest faculty at the NATIONAL LIVER SUMMIT at Jaipur.
Thank you Dr Naimish Mehta Sir Dr Vivek Saraswat Sir and Dr Karan Raj Kumar for inviting me for this prestigious event.

Sharing knowledge multiplies it! An interesting session to discuss about a newer drug for managing bipolar disorder at the Department of Psychiatry Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur. It was a pleasure to interact with HOD Dr Manju Bhaskar and faculty Dr N K Tak, Dr Aditya Soni, Dr Geetika Arora and the senior and junior residents.
