MY WEEKEND IN THE CATH LAB!!!

*Saturday 2 AM:* 28-year-old gentleman. Smoker, high-stress lifestyle, irregular sleep, no regular exercise. Crushing chest pain. Right Coronary Artery 100% blocked. Stent placed. Pain gone.

*Sunday 4 PM:* 34-year-old gentleman . Sedentary work, strong family history of heart disease, frequent junk food, undiagnosed hypertension. Collapsed at home. Left Main Coronary Artery 100% blocked. Emergency angioplasty. Stable now.

Two young hearts, two lives saved. Both had modifiable risk factors.

The procedure was quick and, further strengthening the evidence for minimally invasive cardiac solutions and providing new hope.

Proctoring a leadless pacemaker (AVIER) case at LPS Cardiology Kanpur was an immensely gratifying experience, deeply rooted in gratitude towards the institution that laid the foundation of my career in cardiology.

Being able to return as a proctor and support the adoption of cutting-edge leadless pacemaker technology, while collaborating with outstanding mentors and trainees at LPS, felt like a way to honour the values and training received during earlier years.

Witnessing LPS’s dedication to advanced cardiac care and innovation reinforced the pride in being an alumnus, and the opportunity to contribute to such progress was truly fulfilling. 😊

Glad to share that we recently conducted a workshop on CRT at Government medical college, Saifai. It was First of its kind in in Safai.

A Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) is a specialized device (kind of pacemaker) designed to treat patients who have decreased Ejection fraction (pumping capacity of Heart). It helps to improve Ejection fraction and hence gives symptomatic benefit to patients.
