There is happiness in the small things that surround us. If I am feeling down, I look around and find something to celebrate. No matter where I am, I can usually almost find at least one thing that is worth taking note of. That spark of joy doesnt erase the pain, but it balances it a bit. Pain, discomfort, suffering these are ever present. There is no real escape from the fact of life. But acknowledging the good along with the bad helps the kind to reach a more balanced point of view. Ignorning the problems is not a solution. Nor a false positivity or spiritual bypassing. We have to stay real and grounded and true. And that means we have to learn how to let the good in and have just as much of an impact as everything else that surround us.
