Architecture is the process of creation of space for various human activities. These spaces may range from very private space to large public spaces . It is achieved by devoted planning ,designing and construction. Architectural works are perceived as cultural symbols and are frequently interpreted as work of art. Historical civilization are often identified with their architectural works which re
flect the level of development of the particular civilization. The term architecture now has been adopted to describe the activity of designing any kind of system eg. in describing information technology, in growth of a revolution, in process of a victory etc. In relation to buildings, architecture deals with planning, designing & constructing form, space and ambience in response to functional, technical, social, environmental & aesthetic consideration. Best architectural masterpieces involve creative manipulation, material coordination, technology, light and shadow. The other facts of architecture are cost estimating, construction management and scheduling. The building is defined by a series of drawings & three dimensional views which define the structure and the concept. A good building should be durable. It has to be useful and function properly for the purpose it has been created and should appear beautiful to the people. Many prominent Architects have created buildings in their own style much akin to artists and sculptors. It has thereby linked architecture to art. Many movements over the generations have changed the concepts of Architecture as the technology & aspirations of people changed with them. Today the consideration of sustainability is an important issue in architecture. Buildings should be constructed in a system which is environmentally friendly. The building should aim to have no negative impact on the natural & built environment of the surrounding area. The building should have systems to generate its own heating , cooling, water & waste management and lighting. As the times pass, the complexity of building is increasing. The field of architecture has become multi disciplinary with specializations for each project type, technology & delivery methods. Now there is a separation between ‘design’ architect & The ‘project’ architect who ensure the project is executed exactly as conceived. The preparatory process for the design of large buildings has become increasingly complicated and it cannot be the design of one person but the work of many specialist’s working as cohesive unit. Environmental sustainability is a major issue. There is an increase in the number of building which seek to meet green buildings sustainable design principles. Sustainable methods that were at the core of vernacular architecture are providing inspiration for environmentally sustainable modern techniques. Our approach to Architectural projects is to understand the context of the project and client’s requirements. Architectural design is worked out based on the functional planning of space and optimization of the property. Care is taken to accommodate all planning norms and providing trouble free services network. Detailed analysis is done at site level and is carried forward for constructing scheduling, tendering and handing over stages. Design solutions are in accordance with the client’s brief, building bylaws, flexibility of spaces, climatic responsiveness of design & overall aesthetic appeal of the built form. Urban planning is process for control of use of land and the design of town environment. It guides the development of settlements and communities through technical and political efforts. It is based on research and analysis, strategic spatial thinking, architecture, urban design, public interaction, policy formulation, implementation & management. A plan for the future development of the city is based upon selection of a horizon year and all calculations are based on the time frame selected. A number of plans for the urban area can be selected based upon our strategic goal. The various plans include master plans, outline development plans, strategic plans, comprehensive plans, neighborhood plans, regulatory & incentive strategies, historic presentation plans, urban renewal plans etc all selected on the basis of our viewpoint & thinking. Planners are also responsible for enforcing the policies. Urban planning has existed since prehistoric ties. The pre classical & classical periods saw a number of cities laid out according to fixed plans. Designed cities were present in Mesopotamian, Harrapan & Egyption civilizations. Destin characteristics of urban planning in the indus valley civilization were right angle laid out streets with hierarchy of streets, efficient drainage system intergrated with well developed urban sanitation. Urban planning models have changed over the ages in response to cultural and technological changes & advancements. In recent times developers have also played huge roles in development by planning large projects as per the needs of the society. Many recent developments are a result of developers working on the development area from scratch. Basic approach of urban planning projects is to understand the historical nature of the existing settlement and plan for the future, based upon in depth study of the existing socio economic, demographic and physical profile of the town. Our main objectives to the urban planning projects are,
• To create settlements with concept of sustainable development.
• To provide basic infrastructure, facilities and amenities, which are spatially well distributed.
• To provide appropriate areas for public utilities to facilitate the efficient working environment in the city.
• To provide an efficient transportation system which can cater to the future needs. Interior design involves turning an interior space into a usable space. The space should be modulated in such a way that it gives effective setting for the desired human activities that are to take palace there. Interior design is a multidimensional profession that includes conceptualization, execution and management of the project. The requirement of effective use of space, user comfort and functional design has resulted in the development of this profession. Man has always had an emotional need to put a personal touch to the interior spaces he regularly used. Hence the requirement to design interior spaces as per the personal needs and thoughts of the user is born. People use paintings to decorate their spaces. They also use their photographs or family photographs in response to the need to bond with their surroundings. An interior designer understands these needs and takes it forward to a higher level. In public realm, interior designing is creating spaces being used by many people at one time. These include malls, multiplexes, offices, institutions, libraries, transport hubs etc. All these differ radically from each other in terms of interior design and functionality. Good interior design is achieved by efficient spaces planning, choice of materials, signage, movement pattern etc. The interior design should clearly convey the message desired by the designer as one moves through a space. Type of interior design include residential design, commercial design, hospitality design, healthcare design, exhibition design, spatial branding etc. The profession of interior design is constantly evolving. It is also an art form which relies on research from many fields to provide understanding as how people are influenced by their environment. Other areas of specialization are museum & exhibition design, event design, theatre design, healthcare design etc. Our main aim in all our interior projects is to understand the client’s brief thoroughly to develop a exclusive design that can satisfy all his needs in both spiritual & functional ways. The cost efficiency in services layouts without compromising the design quality is the main consideration in the interior layouts. Incorporating the concepts of natural light & ventilation as per the space requirement are the other criteria's that shape our designs.
