A beautiful form of Goddess Durga, Maa Sheetala is worshiped today on ‘Basoda’. A festival celebrated with cold food in Rajasthan. This marks the transition from winter to summer.

Maa is prayed to for healing & gentleness in the body. Households prepare meals a day prior as bhog to the goddess & consume cold food all day as prasad to keep the body cool. Fire is not lit in the kitchens today.

Wonderful rituals of faith in this country where women pray to the divine feminine in all colours. ✨

It’s always a (nervous) pleasure to host my most special people at The Art Ghar.
We know the feedback is going to be 100% honest with the intention of growth. So many of the improvements have happened because of their suggestions.

The food & the calm was much appreciated ~

We served homemade Dosa, Upma, Sambhar, Coconut Chutney. Vegetable cutlets, Grilled cheese sandwich, overnight oats in greek yoghurt, fresh fruits & chai for breakfast.

Our breakfast is cooked for the guests staying with us. Locals could pre book a breakfast table with family. Happy to discuss the menu according to your tastebuds.

My ancestral home opened its doors to everyone five years back & it has been a long journey home. The long journey passed in the blink of an eye.
