Surgical management of a rare case of unilateral oral submucus fibrosis (OSMF) found in a 20 yr female at our centre. FIBROTOMY of left buccal mucosa with temporalis MYOTOMY & RECONSTRUCTION USING BUCCAL FAT PAD(green arrow, pic 2) was performed under local anesthesia.
Histopathology further confirmed OSMF.
After the surgery noticeable improvement in mouth opening was seen which was previously less than 20mm (pic 4).

Gulab Devi, a woman suffering from jaw disease from the past 30 years, was successfully operated at Chirayu Hospital. Maxillofacial Surgeon Doctor Sameer Parihar of Chirayu Hospital successfully operated the jaw and repaired it. The operation of the defective jaw bone was successfully separated from the skull bone to open the mouth. In this operation, Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Sameer Parihar, anesthetic department, Dr. Rajat Dadhich, Dr. Ramesh, Dr. Pooja Narayan, Dr. Rahi, and Mukesh Yadav were major contributors.
