Eye injuries can look scary but not all are dangerous. The real key is knowing when to stay calm and when to rush to the doctor.

Here’s what you should know 👇

🔹 1. Mild hit or swelling:
If it’s just a bump or bruise, stay calm.
Use a cold compress (not direct ice) for 10–15 minutes. Most heal within a few days.

🔹 2. When the eye won’t open:
If your child or you can’t open the eye, don’t force it.
The eye is protecting itself — forcing it open can make things worse.

🔹 3. Bleeding or cuts around the eye:
Go straight to the emergency room.
Don’t wash, rub, or remove anything that’s stuck. Apply no pressure.

🔹 4. Blood seen inside the eye:
That could be Hyphema — blood collected in the front part of your eye.
It’s a sign of internal injury and needs immediate treatment.

🔹 5. Blurry or double vision:
If the eye looks off, vision is blurred, or there’s severe pain,
it might be an orbital fracture or a ruptured globe — both serious emergencies.

🔹 6. In all serious cases:
Avoid eating or drinking until a doctor checks. Imaging or surgery may be needed.

⚠️ Most sports or play-related eye injuries are preventable,
but only if you act right at the right time.

👁️ If you’re unsure — get it checked immediately.
Better safe today than sorry tomorrow.

👇 Save this post to know what to do next time an eye injury happens — and share it with someone who plays sports or has kids.

The festive smoke doesn’t just fade it lingers in your eyes.
This post-Diwali haze is more than pollution; it’s a silent enemy causing redness, burning, and even corneal damage.
Let’s not let the season of light become one of blindness.
