Endoscopic flexor hallucis longus (FHL) tendon transfer has emerged as a valuable technique in the management of chronic or irreparable Achilles tendon tears. By using a minimally invasive endoscopic approach, the procedure allows for precise identification and harvesting of the FHL tendon while preserving surrounding soft tissues. This leads to significantly reduced postoperative pain, faster wound healing, and a lower risk of complications such as infection or wound breakdown, which are more common in open procedures
