Medulloblastoma is a common brain tumor in children. It commonly occurs in the posterior fossa( cerebellum). Symptoms include mainly difficulty in maintaining balance ( Cerebellar signs) and others due to brain stem involvement and raised ICP( headache, vomiting).
Diagnosis involves clinical examination along with brain imaging(MRI Brain).
Treatment involves- Surgical excision followed by radio chemotherapy.
Sharing one such operated case in 5yr old child.
Total tumor excision was done and child is now taking chemoradiotherapy.
