I'm thrilled to share my fitness transformation journey with all of you! Over the past few months, I've worked tirelessly to improve my physical health and well-being and lost 45 Kgs so far.
The results have been astonishing - not just in terms of weight loss and strength gain, but also in mental toughness and resilience.

Iodine is like the VIP backstage pass for your thyroid gland. It’s an essential component of the thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3).
These hormones are metabolic maestros—they control how your body uses energy, regulates temperature, and maintains overall balance.
Imagine T4 and T3 as the conductors of your metabolic orchestra, ensuring everything plays in harmony! 🎻🎶

Increase Caloric Intake: Consume more calories than your body burns. Aim for an additional 300 to 500 calories per day above your normal intake.

Eat Nutrient-Dense Foods: Focus on foods high in healthy fats, complex carbohydrates, and proteins. Include items like rice, pasta, red meat, nuts, seeds, and higher-fat dairy products.

Adjust Meal Frequency: Eat less frequently but have slightly larger meals at four- to five-hour intervals to provide a steady supply of calories without speeding up the metabolism too much.

Modify Exercise Routine: Engage in lower-intensity exercises such as long walks, yoga, and light resistance training, which are less metabolically demanding than intense workouts.

App-based Riders and food delivery workers in India, particularly those working for companies like Ola,
\Uber, Zomato and Swiggy, face several occupational health challenges. I had detailed discussion with few riders on the status of physical and mental health this month. Let's delve into some of the key issues they encounter:

1. Backache: Back pain is a prevalent health issue among app-based drivers due to long hours of sitting and driving. The nature of their work often involves maintaining a fixed posture for extended periods, leading to strain on the back muscles and spine.

2. Constipation: Irregular meal timings, inadequate breaks, limited water intake and stress contribute to digestive problems, including constipation. Drivers often struggle to find suitable places to eat or use restrooms during their shifts.

3. Liver Issues: Unhealthy eating habits, irregular sleep patterns, and stress impact liver health. Lack of proper nutrition and rest exacerbates the problem.

4. Waist Pain: Prolonged sitting and poor posture can lead to waist pain. Drivers may not have access to ergonomic seating, which further contributes to discomfort.

5. Neck Pain: Constantly looking at the road and handling the steering wheel can strain the neck muscles. Neck pain is a common complaint among app-based transport workers.

Additionally, dealing with different mindset of customer daily, affects their mental health as well. The stress of dealing with difficult passengers, navigating traffic, and meeting targets can take a toll on their overall well-being.

Sleep deprivation is another issue. Long working hours and insufficient rest negatively impact drivers' health. Moreover, some drivers turn to substance abuse (such as caffeine or energy drinks) to stay awake during their shifts, which further affects their health.

Efforts are needed to address these challenges, improve working conditions, and prioritize the well-being of app-based transport workers in India.
