World AMR Awareness Week 2023 – with the theme of “Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together.
Antibiotic resistance is a threat to humans, animals, plants and the environment. It affects us all.

*GO BLUE FOR AMR AWARENESS*
Misusing and overusing antibiotics increase antibiotic resistance. WHO has declared Antibiotic resistance as one of the top 10 global public health threats.
Resistant infections will be difficult and impossible to treat in future.

*No action today means no cure tomorrow*
I urge everyone to do their bit in addressing this urgent challenge by taking the following steps:

*Take antibiotics only when they are needed
*Never share left-over antibiotics and prescriptions
*only use antibiotics when prescribed by a Doctor
*Follow the doctor’s prescription and treatment advice
*Keep your hands clean to prevent infections
*Follow healthy lifestyle and good personal hygiene
