Sciatica refers to the Nerve pain one experiences due to the irritation or compression of nerve roots contributing to the formation of the Sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is the longest and widest nerve in the body, running from the lower back, down to the back of each leg. The sciatic nerve pain can occur in the lower back and spread to the hips, buttocks, and leg. Sciatica generally affects one side of the body. There are numerous causes of sciatic nerve pain:

1. Herniated Disc
2. Spinal Stenosis
3. Spondylolisthesis
4. Piriformis Syndrome
5. Sacroiliitis
6. Injury to the Sciatica nerve
7. Osteoarthritis
8. Sciatic nerve pain due to Spinal Tumours

Did you know that your neck can cause headaches?

This is called a 'cervicogenic headache!' Due to the innervation of your upper neck joints, your neck can be a source of headaches.

Some symptoms include:

- Neck pain before getting a headache, or associated with a headache.
- Pain that radiates up the back of your head, around the sides of your head and behind your eye.
- Pain that is usually on one side of your neck/head.
