Prostate cancer (xenograft mouse model):
Plumbagin (2 mg/kg, intraperitoneal, 5 days/week over 8 weeks) significantly inhibited tumor growth and metastasis of PC‑3M human prostate cancer cells. It downregulated PKCε, pStat3, survivin, Bcl‑xL, MMP2/9, uPA, VEGF and CD31 .

Guggulu (Commiphora Wightii) contains guggulsterone E and Z, which have antiinflammatory and anticoagulant. Guggulu can increase serum fibrinolytic activity and decreasing platelet adhesiveness in healthy and CAD patients

In a study published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research, Bordia and Chuttani (1979) administered Guggulu fraction A (pet ether extract) at a daily dose of 1 gram to healthy individuals and CAD patients over 30 days. The results showed a significant increase in serum fibrinolytic activity and a decrease in platelet adhesive index in both groups, suggesting that Guggulu may be beneficial in managing coronary artery disease.

The study by Mbikay (2012) titled "Therapeutic potential of Moringa oleifera leaves in chronic hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia: A review" explores the potential benefits of Moringa (Shigru) for managing diabetes and related metabolic disorders.

They had found Moringa oleifera (Shigru) contains compounds like isothiocyanates and chlorogenic acid, which have been shown to reduce blood sugar levels. These compounds may improve insulin sensitivity and help in glucose uptake, making it beneficial for diabetic patients.

"Discovery and quantification of plastic particle pollution in human blood"

This research marks the first time microplastics were detected and quantified in human blood samples. The researchers analyzed blood from 22 anonymous, healthy volunteers and found microplastics in approximately 77% of the samples. The most commonly detected polymers were polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polystyrene. These findings suggest that microplastic particles can enter the human bloodstream, highlighting the need for further research into their potential health effects.
