The Head and Neck CoE at Patel Hospital is glad to share the acceptance of an invited manuscript in Current Opinion Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery, an international peer reviewed Pubmed indexed journal.

This review of the latest relevant literature focuses on prevention and management of decreased mouth opening (trismus) in oral cancer. This constitutes one of the unique challenges (most pronounced in patients from the Indian subcontinent) in management of oral cancer, and is associated with consequences like difficulty in chewing and assimilation, compromised cancer surveillance, and psychosocial adversity.

We hope this review will be of assistance to our colleagues in helping these patients navigate a life post cancer treatment. Attaching the final version for reading and comments.
