Ayurvedic tips for maintaining healthy lungs:

-Herbal teas: Drink herbal teas infused with lung-supporting herbs like licorice, ginger, tulsi (holy basil), and peppermint. These herbs have expectorant properties that can help clear mucus and promote respiratory health.

-Pranayama: Practice pranayama, a set of breathing exercises, to strengthen the lungs and improve respiratory function. Deep breathing techniques like Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) and Kapalbhati (skull shining breath) are particularly beneficial.

-Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of warm water throughout the day to keep the respiratory passages hydrated and facilitate the expulsion of toxins from the body.

-Steam inhalation: Regularly inhale steam infused with eucalyptus or camphor oil to clear congestion, soothe the respiratory tract, and promote healthy lung function.

-Avoid smoking and air pollution: Minimize exposure to smoke, pollutants, and allergens as they can irritate the lungs and worsen respiratory conditions. Quit smoking if you are a smoker.

-Ayurvedic herbs: Incorporate lung-supporting herbs like turmeric, ashwagandha, vasa, and guduchi into your diet. These herbs have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties that can help protect and strengthen the respiratory system.

-Healthy diet: Follow a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to support overall health, including lung function. Avoid heavy, oily, and processed foods that can cause congestion and inflammation.

-Regular exercise: Engage in regular physical activity to improve lung capacity, circulation, and overall fitness. Practice yoga or other gentle exercises that promote deep breathing and relaxation.

-Adequate rest: Ensure you get enough rest and sleep to allow your body to repair and rejuvenate. Chronic fatigue can weaken the immune system and make you more susceptible to respiratory infections.

-Maintain a positive mindset: Stress and negative emotions can weaken the immune system and affect respiratory health. Practice mindfulness, meditation, or other stress-reducing techniques to promote emotional well-being and support lung health.

Ovulation Dysfunction: PCOS can cause irregular or absent ovulation, leading to difficulties in conceiving or infertility.

Excessive Hair Growth (Hirsutism): PCOS may result in excess hair growth on the face, chest, back, or other areas of the body where men typically grow hair (hirsutism). This is due to increased levels of androgens (male hormones) in the body.

Acne: Elevated androgen levels associated with PCOS can contribute to acne outbreaks, particularly on the face, chest, and back.

Weight Gain or Difficulty Losing Weight: Many women with PCOS struggle with weight gain or have difficulty losing weight, particularly around the abdomen.

Hair Loss: Some women with PCOS may experience thinning hair or hair loss from the scalp, a condition known as female pattern baldness.
