Both cataract and acute glaucoma affect your vision, but they are very different conditions that need different treatments. Cataracts develop slowly and often cause blurry or cloudy vision, double vision, and trouble with light sensitivity. On the other hand, acute glaucoma is a sudden eye emergency with symptoms like intense eye pain, red eyes, blurred vision, headaches, and seeing halos around lights.
