*Countdown to IDY 2025* : *YOGA SAMAVESH*

Under the direction of Worthy Director Ayush JK UT , Dr. Nuzat Bashir Shah and supervision of District Ayush officer, Jammu Dr. Vandana Dogra , *Yoga Camp *was organised as perlude to 11th International Yoga day.The *Yoga Camp was organised at “BAL ASHRAM VED MANDIR , AMPHALLA “under the theme of* *"Yoga for one earth, one health by Dr. Himani Bhutyal "* on 18/06/2025 in collaboration with Mr. Mohit Sharma ( social activist ). *Speaking on the occasion Mr.Mohit emphasized on the need to spread the awareness about the practice of Yoga for holistic well being and sustainable living. Yoga session was done according to Common Yoga Protocol, various yog asanas and breathing exercises were demonstrated by Yoga instructors Mr. Kunal and and Miss RIA. Meditation Session was taken by Dr. Himani Bhutyal .All Girls students and staff of Ved Mandir participated enthusiastically in the Yoga session.

Celebration of World Environment Day
with the theme " Beat Plastic Pollution"
Today on 5th June 2025 at various Health institutions of Ayush Department Jammu
All Ayush health and wellness centres and GAD’s actively participated in it.
Where following activities werecarried out:

*Awareness campaign to avoid the use of single use plastic.
*Extensive cleanliness drive DONE
*Awareness about plastic free environment in creating a healthy sustainable environment by making positive changes in their lives.
*Sensitising AYUSH STAFF about the harmful effects of micro plastic and how avoid it.
•Sensitisation of staff ,school childrens and local public of Jammu done regarding harmful impacts of plastic pollution and awareness regarding education to adopt practical measures to reduce plastic use.

Following activities were organised under the able guidance of *Worthy principal Mam Mrs.Moni Dipa ji* :-
1) *Morning Assembly* was conducted which included prayer, silence, thought of the day , poem , question answers,national anthem.
2)On the occasion of *"World Environment Day" ,* different programs were organised:-
a) *Mrs.Karuna Bajaj (lecturer chemistry)* spoke about " *World Environment Day* ", *Save* *environment, plantation of trees* , *Say no to single use* *plastic* .
Ms Vaishali Devi of 11th class also presented her speech on the topic.
b) *Pledge* to save environment and to work for ending plastic pollution was taken by All.
*Worthy Principal Mam* *Mrs.Moni Dipaji addressed* the students and asked them to do their homework ,study ,manage the time and also enjoy their vacations.
c) *Paintings, poster making and* *slogan writing* by the students on the topic.
d)The students and the staff members attended the *live telecast* of the program " *Ek Ped Maa ke naam 2.O"* on 05-06-25.
The students and the staff also attended the *National level Webinar on "Ending Plastic Pollution* **Globally* " organised by Ministry of Education through digital mode on 04-06-25.
e) *Cleanliness work* was done to make the school and the area plastic free.
f)A program was organised by the team from *"Ayushman Arogya Mandir Rabta". Dr.Supriya Thakur* ( *Medical Officer*) spoke about *World Environment* *Day and also Importance of* *Yoga and* *Pranayam.Yogic* exercises and Pranayam was done.Pledge to safeguard environment and to shun plastic was taken.Dr.Supriya was accompanied by Mrs. Vandana (MTS). Free Ayurvedic medicines, consultation was given.
*Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Bhat* (Sr.lecturer Urdu) also spoke on the occasion and thanked the guests.

On the eve of environment day, an awareness session was arranged for the staff of District Ayush Office Jammu and Medical officers . Where Dr. Vandana Dogra District Ayush Officer Jammu delivered Lecture regarding health and environmental hazards of rampant use of polythene and other plastic articles and different healthy options available to save the environment from its effects.
