Inter-District UT-Level U-17 Boys Cricket Tournament Conducted Successfully Across Udhampur
Udhampur: The Department of Youth Services & Sports, Udhampur, today successfully conducted matches of the Inter-District UT-Level Under-17 Boys Cricket Tournament across multiple venues in the district. The matches were organized in a systematic, disciplined, and competitive manner, strictly as per the approved tournament guidelines.
The tournament is being conducted under the patronage of Anuradha Gupta, Director General, Youth Services & Sports, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, whose visionary leadership and continuous support have significantly strengthened grassroots sports and competitive platforms across the Union Territory. The whole event is being organized under the guidance of Vinakshi Koul, JKAS, Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports, ensuring adherence to technical standards and administrative discipline.The smooth planning, coordination, and ex*****on of the whole tournament are being carried out under the direction of Megha Bhogia, Deputy Director (Activities), The whole tournament is being effectively supervised with the administrative support of Angel Kotwal, JKAS, Deputy Director (Central), Youth Services & Sports, UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
Ground No. 1
Anantnag vs Kupwara
Kupwara won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 102 runs and were all out in 14 overs
In reply, Anantnag scored 103 runs in 11.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Jumaid Muzaffer scored an impressive 44 runs off 27 balls, while Kasib Bashir claimed two wickets.
Result: Anantnag defeated Kupwara by 8 wickets.
Ground No. 2 – DPL Ground
Budgam vs Bandipora
Budgam won the toss and opted to bat first, posting 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 15 overs.
Notable contributions came from Fasil Ali, who scored 43 runs off 32 balls, while Basit Aslam added 21 runs.
In reply, Bandipora were bowled out for 99 runs in 13.4 overs, with Atif Manzoor top-scoring with 18 runs.
For Budgam, Nisar and Aslam took three wickets each, leading their team to victory.
Result: Budgam won the match.
Ground No. 3
First Match: Kulgam vs Ramban
Kulgam won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 139 runs for 9 wickets.
Ramban replied with 137 runs, falling short by a narrow margin.
Result: Kulgam defeated Ramban by 3 runs.
Second Match: Jammu vs Baramulla
Baramulla won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 136 runs for 5 wickets.
Jammu successfully chased the target, scoring 137 runs for 3 wickets.
Karanveer played a brilliant innings, scoring 50 runs off 27 balls.
In bowling, Prabhmeet Singh took two wickets, while Usman Bhatti and Karanveer claimed one wicket each.
Result: Jammu defeated Baramulla.

Match Results – SKPA Ground
First Match: Kishtwar vs Pulwama
Kishtwar won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a total of 123 runs in 15 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
In reply, Pulwama chased the target comfortably, scoring the required runs in 9.4 overs, losing only one wicket.
Notable Performances (Pulwama):
• Rafid scored 53 runs
• Munazil scored 56 runs
Result: Pulwama defeated Kishtwar by 9 wickets.
Second Match: Reasi vs Ganderbal
Reasi won the toss and elected to field first.
Ganderbal delivered a dominant batting performance and went on to win the match by a margin of 121 runs.
Notable Performances (Ganderbal):
• Mehboob top-scored with 53 runs
• Rasees claimed 3 wickets
• Mubasir also took 3 wickets
Result: Ganderbal defeated Reasi convincingly.
