NEP Utsav Celebrated at PM SHRI GHS Sirla Bhaga (Reasi)

Sirla Bhaga, Reasi, August 6:
PM SHRI Government High School Sirla Bhaga celebrated the NEP Utsav to mark the 5th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, under the able leadership of Headmaster Jb. Mohd Ashraf Khan.

The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble MLA Sh. Baldev Raj Sharma Ji (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituency, Katra) as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest.
Students of the school presented a vibrant cultural program highlighting local traditions and the importance of education. In his address, Hon’ble MLA assured his full support in enhancing the infrastructural facilities of the school. He emphasized the need for discipline, dedication, and goal-oriented efforts among students to excel in life.
A brief but impactful speech on the key highlights of NEP 2020 was delivered by Sh. Mohinder Kumar Heera, Master at the school. The celebration also featured colorful Rangoli designs, crafted using natural and organic materials, which were highly appreciated by the Chief Guest.
Prominent villagers from Sirla, Karyanee, Jaranoo, Damaldi, Kalara, and other surrounding areas attended the event, along with SMDC members, who extended full support for the success of the program.
The event was smoothly coordinated by the dedicated staff members of the school. Sh. Mangal Singh (Teacher) efficiently compered the program. The vote of thanks was presented by the Headmaster, acknowledging the contributions of all involved in making the NEP Utsav a grand success.

NEP 2020 Utsav Organised at PM SHRI HSS Agharjitto.

To mark the successful completion of five years of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, PM SHRI Higher Secondary School Agharjitto, under the dynamic leadership of Principal Sh. Dara Singh, organized a vibrant and engaging event under the banner of NEP Utsav.
As part of the celebrations, sports competitions were held in the school’s indoor hall, with enthusiastic student participation in Kabaddi and Wrestling. These activities embodied the core spirit of NEP 2020, which promotes sports-integrated learning and holistic development of students.
The programme was inaugurated virtually by Chief Education Officer, Sh. Deepak Gupta, while Sh. Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO), Reasi, joined as the Special Guest. Both lauded the school’s efforts in implementing the key principles of NEP 2020 and praised the enthusiastic participation of students and staff.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of respected members of the School Welfare Committee, including:

The dignitaries commended Principal Sh. Dara Singh for his visionary leadership and recognized the school’s continued commitment to educational innovation and community engagement.

Two-Day Plantation Drive Launched by Youth Services & Sports Department, Reasi

In adherence to the directions issued by Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J&K UT, the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Reasi, launched a two-day plantation drive on 25th and 26th July 2025 under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Reasi.
On the first day of the campaign, more than 550 saplings of various species were planted by staff members and students, across multiple locations in the district. The initiative is aimed at fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable practices among the youth and the local community.
Sh. Tarsem Singh appreciated all the Zonal Physical Education Officers and field staff for their enthusiastic participation and support in making this green initiative a success. He stated that the district has been assigned a target of planting 1000 saplings, and with over 550 already planted on the first day, the drive will continue tomorrow to cover more schools and zones, thereby contributing meaningfully to the protection and preservation of Mother Nature. Inter-School District Level Selection Trials/Competitions for AAG Boys & Girls Begin at MA Stadium Jammu,
The Department of Youth Services & Sports, District Jammu, today inaugurated the Inter-School District Level Selection Trials/Competitions for All Age Groups (AAG) Boys & Girls at MA Stadium, Jammu. The trials feature a range of sports disciplines including Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Roller Skating, Karate, Weightlifting, and Wushu.
During the inaugural ceremony held at the University Ground, Jammu, Sh. Sukhdev Raj Sharma addressed the participants, encouraging them to perform with dedication and enthusiasm in order to earn their spots in the forthcoming Inter-District Division Level Competitions. He also appreciated the efforts of the conveners and technical officials for their commitment and experience in fostering grassroots sports talent.
These selection trials aim to identify, support, and promote emerging student-athletes, providing them with opportunities to excel at higher levels of competitive sports.

Udhampur District Rallies for Fitness: Fit India Cyclothon Activities Conducted Across Multiple Zones

In a resounding tribute to the vision of the Fit India Movement, the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Udhampur, orchestrated a large-scale Cyclothon drive across its educational zones on 15th July 2025. The initiative, held under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Romesh Chander Mishra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSS) Udhampur, served as a powerful reminder of the importance of physical well-being and community engagement.

Zonal Highlights:
Zone Udhampur: A vibrant Cyclothon was held at Mini Stadium Udhampur under the supervision of ZPEO Deep Kumar.
Participants: 30 (15 Male, 15 Female)

Zone Panchari: Hosted at GHS Panjar, the event was led by ZPEO Vijay Kumar Jandial.
Participants: 20 (16 Male, 4 Female)

Zone Ghordi: A localized but spirited Cyclothon was flagged off from Block Headquarters Ghordi, overseen by IC ZPEO Yash Pal Sharma.

Zone Khoon: The event saw energetic participation at PM SHRI GHSS Khoon under ZPEO Kartar Singh.
Participants: 12 (10 Male, 2 Female)
Field Officials Present: 18 field staff, including PEMs, PETs, and REKs such as Sh. Gian Singh, Nisha Sharma, and Mohan Lal Gupta.
Zone Dudu: The Cyclothon from Latti to Pundal witnessed robust male participation.
Participants: 15 (15 Male)
Zone Ramnagar: Conducted at Zone HQ Ramnagar, the event marked active engagement by the local youth.
Participants: 15 (15 Male)
Zone Tikri: The Cyclothon from Tikri to Chanas was carried out with dedication by zone officials.
Participants: 16 (16 Male)

Dysso Udhampur Sh. Romesh Chander Mishra appreciated Across 11 zones, a grand total of 242 participants (174 male, 68 female) joined hands or rather pedals to advance the message of the Fit India Movement. The combined effort demonstrates a deepening culture of health awareness across the District Udhampur.
