Normal liver color is reddish brownish and spongy soft in consistency.
In cirrhosis color changes to yellowish- tan and consistency changes to firm indurated shrunken.

Liver cirrhosis is a chronic condition characterized by the replacement of healthy liver tissue with scar tissue, leading to impaired liver function. This scarring results from long-term damage to the liver from various causes, including chronic alcohol abuse, hepatitis B and C infections, and non- alcholic fatty liver. Symptoms of cirrhosis can include jaundice ( yellowing of the skin and eyes), fatigue, swelling in the legs and abdomen, and easy bruising or bleeding, As the disease progresses, complications such as liver failure, portal hypertension, and liver cancer can occur. Early diagnosis and management of the underlying cause are crucial to slowing the progression of cirrhosis.
