Today, two more puppies suffering from haemorrhagic gastroenteritis came to the clinic. Pablo, a 1.5-month-old pitbull and Blackie, a 4-month-old unvaccinated local hound, are both suffering from the disease and are on treatment now. This condition is spreading among pups and adult dogs in Jammu City. Its symptoms are haemorrhagic diarrhoea and vomitting. In this condition, pets need IV fluids. So if you see any starting symptoms of the condition, please visit your vet as soon as possible.

This mixed-breed pug weighing 1.5 kg had been fed a fried, spicy omlette by its owner. After consuming the omlette, the puppy fell sick, resulting in bloody diarrhoea. The puppy also hadn't been dewormed. The owner brought it to the clinic. Now, the pug has been dewormed, and is recovering.

Request all pet owners to not feed fried food to their pets, and to get them dewormed timely.

Bella, a one-year-old cane corso, a breed of dogs that is imported from Italy, had gotten her ears and tail cropped wrongly by a quack, owing to which her condition had gotten bad. Her owner then brought her to our clinic, where proper treatment was administered to her. She is slowly healing now.

Please be careful while choosing the people who would work with your pets. The wrong person can affect their health adversely.

This labrador named Tuffy was digging the earth and got bitten by an insect, owing to which he got an insect bite infection. The symptoms of this infection were flapping of his ears and itching on his nose. In time, his snout got swollen. By the time his owner brought him to the clinic, he had itched himself to the point that he mutilated his snout, resulting in ulcers. He is now under treatment and is slowly recovering.

A puppy was brought to our clinic today. He had been vomiting. On close examination, it was found that he is showing early signs of parvovirus gastroenteritis. The owner had been told to get his puppy vaccinated, but he didn’t listen. Consequently, the dog has fallen sick now.

Please get your puppies vaccinated no matter what breed they are. Vaccination shall safeguard them against these viruses.
