Brishwer Singh student of BAMS 2nd Prof of JIAR participated in the Inter-Collegiate State Level Badminton Championship, where around 150–200 players from various colleges competed and he stood among the Top 5 players of the championship.
Based on this outstanding performance he have been selected for the State Badminton Team to represent the state at the National Badminton Championships.
The National Championships will be held from 31st December 2025 to 4th January 2026 at CT University, Ludhiana.

JIAR Observed Meditation Day on 21 December 2025
Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) observed Meditation Day on 21 December 2025 by organizing a series of meditation activities aimed at promoting mental peace, emotional balance, and overall well-being among students.

The programme included guided meditation sessions, where participants actively and enthusiastically engaged in practices focusing on mindfulness and inner calm. To further encourage creative expression and awareness, a Poster Making Competition was also organized. Students showcased their ideas and understanding of the importance of meditation and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through visually engaging posters.

The event emphasized the significance of incorporating meditation into daily life for stress management, mental clarity, and holistic health. The programme concluded with a motivating message encouraging students and staff to adopt meditation as a regular practice for a balanced and healthy life.

The event was successfully organized by Dr. Shakshi Kangotra, Associate Professor, Department of Panchkarma; Dr. Supriya Rohilla, Assistant Professor, Department of Panchkarma; and Dr. Palvi Dubey, Assistant Professor, Department of Roga Nidana Evum Vikriti Vigyan.

The initiative reflected JIAR’s continued commitment to promoting holistic health and well-being in line with Ayurvedic Principles.

Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research Starts Ayupraveshika Programme for its 27th BAMS Batch(Session 2025-26)
Jammu, December 15:- Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR), Nardni (Raipur), Jammu starts Ayupraveshika – Transitional Curriculum Programme for its 27th Batch for the academic session 2025–26 at the Institute’s Conference Hall. The programme corresponds with the admission of the BAMS students. The programme was conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM)and the programme will continue for a duration of fifteen days. Parents accompanied their wards on the inaugural day.
The Ayupraveshika programme aims to familiarize newly admitted students with the foundational principles and holistic philosophy of Ayurveda while instilling values of ethical practice, discipline, professionalism, and respect for India’s traditional medical heritage.
Faculty and students welcomed the initiative describing it as a significant step towards building a strong academic and ethical foundation for future Ayurvedic professionals.
