ભારતીય મહિલાઓના વાસ્તવિક દેવતૂલ્ય રક્ષક ડૉ. ભીમરાવ રામજી અંબેડકરજીને તેમના જન્મદિવસે સ્મરણ કરીએ ત્યારે હ્રદયથી ધન્યવાદ વ્યક્ત કરીએ છીએ કે, તેમણે મહિલાઓના હકો માટે અનેક જટિલ લડાઈઓ લડી.

તેમણે ભારતના બંધારણમાં મહિલાઓને પુરુષોના સમકક્ષ હકો આપીને લિંગ સમાનતા માટે મજબૂત પાયો તૈયાર કર્યો.
શિક્ષણ, સંપત્તિમાં હક્ક, પતિથી વિયોગ (divorce) અને પુનઃવિવાહ જેવા મુદ્દાઓ પર તેમણે ઉન્નત વિચારો સાથે કાયદાકીય સુધારાઓ કર્યા.

તેમના પ્રયત્નો સિવાય આજે ભારતીય મહિલાઓને જે હકો મળ્યા છે, તે શક્ય નહોત.

તેમની દ્રષ્ટિ, સમરસતા માટેની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા અને સમાજમાં મહિલાઓ માટે એક નવું સપનું જોવાનું સાહસિક કાર્ય આજે પણ આપણને પ્રેરણા આપે છે.
