• 4 to 6 Months: Babbles (e.g., bababa or dadada); uses sounds to express excitement and displeasure.
• 7 to 12 Months: Imitates speech sounds; gestures (waves "bye-bye" or points); says one or two words (like Mama or Dada).
Remember, you are your child's first and most important teacher. Reading, talking, and playing together are the best ways to nurture these vital skills. 📚💙

Here are a few tips to keep the celebration inclusive and comfortable:
• Protect Your Tech: If you use hearing aids or cochlear implants, remember to keep them clear of water and dry powders. Consider a protective headband or a quick break from the “splash zone” to keep your devices safe!
• Visual Vibrance: Since noisy crowds can make lip-reading or hearing difficult, use clear gestures and bright expressions to share the love.
• Safe Spaces: If the loud music or shouting becomes overwhelming, it’s okay to step into a quiet corner for a breather.

🌟 Honored to have attended the CRE (Continuing Rehabilitation Education) Program in Jamshedpur!
The central theme of the program was “Holistic Development for PwDs in Rural Areas through Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Framework.”
💡 The sessions offered deep insights into how Audiology, Speech Therapy, and Rehabilitation practices can be aligned with the CBR framework to create sustainable, community-driven solutions for persons with disabilities in rural areas.
It was an enriching experience to learn, exchange ideas, and connect with professionals who are passionate about making rehabilitation more accessible, inclusive, and impactful.
Grateful for this opportunity and excited to implement these learnings in both clinical practice and community outreach.
