On the occasion of Cataract Awareness Month, the Dept. of Shalakya Ta**ra, PIAMSR, Jhajhar, organized a Free Eye Check-up Camp on 30th June 2025.

The initiative aimed to promote awareness about cataract and other common ocular disorders, especially among the rural population.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, staff, and villagers from nearby areas.

More than 30+ patients underwent detailed eye screening, including vision testing and preliminary diagnosis of eye conditions such as cataract, refractive errors, and conjunctivitis.

The Shalakya Ta**ra team emphasized the importance of early detection of ocular diseases and Ayurvedic preventive eye care measures and importance of chakshushya aahar vihar in ocular health .

The event provided an excellent opportunity for practical exposure to students while serving the community.

On the occasion of Cataract awareness month , Today Department of Shalakya Ta**ra, PIAMSR organized an Inter-Class Quiz Competition on cataract.
The quiz aimed to enhance students’ understanding of cataract through both Ayurvedic and modern ophthalmological perspectives.

A total of 15 students participated enthusiastically in the event. The quiz featured 4 exciting rounds:

✓Ayurvedic Concepts MCQ
✓Modern Ophthalmology MCQ
✓Rapid Fire (true/false)
✓Visual Identification

The competition was marked by spirited participation and teamwork. Team A emerged as the winners with 37 points, followed by Team B with 30 points.

The International Yoga Day was celebrated in our college premises with great enthusiasm on June 21st, 2025, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a unified effort to promote health, wellness, and mindfulness through yoga.

The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the welcoming of knowledge and peace followed by yoga sessions conducted for all faculty members and students, led by our trained instructors. The session included a series of basic to intermediate yoga asanas, pranayama and relaxation techniques. Emphasis was placed on correct posture, breathing, and the mental benefits of regular practice.

One of the highlights of the event was a vibrant demonstration of yoga poses by our students, showcasing their flexibility, strength, and dedication. Their performances inspired others and reflected the growing awareness and enthusiasm for yoga among the youth.

Yoga Week is being celebrated from 15th June to 21st June with the inspiring theme "One Earth, One Health." As part of this celebration, today we (Prakash Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences and Research Jhajhar District Bulandshahar) had the privilege of welcoming a special guest, Mr. Virpal Singh, a dedicated disciple of Guru Yogendra Khari who received his training in Yoga from the renowned Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, conducted a special yoga session with our students and members. His knowledge and calm presence created a truly energizing and peaceful environment.The session not only promoted physical but also mental and spiritual well-being. On the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, a program was organised in Shri Bhanwar Pal Singh Kanya Inter College , Akalpur, Gautam Budh Nagar, by the department of Prasuti Ta**ra & Stree Rog and Sanskrit Club of Prakash Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences & Research.

The lecture focused on the importance of understanding and maintaining physical, mental and emotional well being throughout the different stages of a women’s life.

Students learned about the menstrual cycle, common difficulties faced during me**es with its management, and the importance of personal hygiene during menstruation.

In conclusion, the lecture aimed to empower young women with knowledge to make informed decisions about their health. Students were encouraged to ask questions and seek help when needed.

On 17th May 2025, Department of Kayachikitsa organized a Free Medical Camp and checkup at Prakash Hospital on the occasion of World Hypertension Day. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about hypertension, its causes, prevention, and complications among the general public.

During the camp, patients were screened for high blood pressure and provided with free consultations. Special emphasis was laid on educating the patients about the long-term complications of uncontrolled hypertension such as stroke, heart disease, and kidney failure.

On the occasion of World Ovarian Cancer Day, the Department of Prasuti Ta**ra evam Stri Roga (PTSR), Prakash Institute of Ayurveda Medical Science and Research Centre,organized a comprehensive awareness lecture and a free women’s health camp on May 8, 2025.

The program aimed to raise awareness about ovarian cancer, encourage early diagnosis, and provide free gynecological consultations to women from surrounding communities.
The lecture was delivered by enthusiastic final-year BAMS students, who presented on the topic “Ovarian Cancer: Awareness, Prevention, and Ayurvedic Perspective.”The program served as an excellent platform for academic engagement, social responsibility, and community service.
