Initially the media reported unconfirmed news of the dead bodies spreading the Covid 19, due to which many were even not allowed to participate in the funeral rites, and many even refused to take the dead bodies of their relatives; and in India there were incidents of the dead bodies thrown into deep pits without honoring them, and in Srilanka, the Government there made it mandatory to cremate the bodies, and refused the Muslims to bury the dead. All were part of the exaggerations about the Covid 19. There are many such exaggerations that have led the public to head towards panic mode that has caused more harm than the real virus itself.
