POV - WHAT TO EAT DURING A LONG TRAIN JOURNEY ?
I love train journey.. relaxed , comfortable, beautiful...
You get time to enjoy the changing landscape, to read , think & introspect...
The only glitch is you are constantly looking for something to munch on..
To pass the time mostly.
It's best if you can carry packed meals with you but if that's not possible ..don't make it an excuse to eat unhealthy food.
All you need to carry with you is some FRUITS ππππ
( to give you freshness, fibre, carbs ..)
Healthy FATS π₯₯π₯π° (nuts)
(to give you essential fats & satiety)
some PROTEIN π₯
( in my tin - 70% roasted chickpeas, 20% roasted peanuts & 10% besan ki sev for added flavour)
something SWEET ( dry fruits)
I had dry apricots , raisins ,figs.. you can carry dates & dry berries too.
( for that sweet craving π)
A bottle of plain water for hydration
Got hot lunch served by the pantry.. avoided the salad( didn't know when it was cut) & the chapaties ( too dry).. otherwise was better than anything else available at the stations .
Last but not the least
