POV - WHAT TO EAT DURING A LONG TRAIN JOURNEY ?
I love train journey.. relaxed , comfortable, beautiful...
You get time to enjoy the changing landscape, to read , think & introspect...
The only glitch is you are constantly looking for something to munch on..
To pass the time mostly.
It's best if you can carry packed meals with you but if that's not possible ..don't make it an excuse to eat unhealthy food.
All you need to carry with you is some FRUITS πŸŽπŸŠπŸŒπŸ’
( to give you freshness, fibre, carbs ..)
Healthy FATS πŸ₯₯πŸ₯‘πŸŒ° (nuts)
(to give you essential fats & satiety)
some PROTEIN πŸ₯œ
( in my tin - 70% roasted chickpeas, 20% roasted peanuts & 10% besan ki sev for added flavour)
something SWEET ( dry fruits)
I had dry apricots , raisins ,figs.. you can carry dates & dry berries too.
( for that sweet craving πŸ˜‹)
A bottle of plain water for hydration
Got hot lunch served by the pantry.. avoided the salad( didn't know when it was cut) & the chapaties ( too dry).. otherwise was better than anything else available at the stations .
Last but not the least

When my client leaves a Google review like this.. it is so heartwarming.
Nothing is possible without their trust , support, feedback , compliance and commitment.
And yet they give you all the credit of their hard work & self dicipline .
So much appreciation, love and warmth.. what more is to be desired.
And it happens over and over again..still you can never become acclimated to it...
Feeling blessed and grateful.

Post workout tasty, protein packed breakfast - soya nuggets 'desi style '.
Boil the nuggets , rinse in cold water , squeeze out excess water. In a hot pan add a little olive oil/ mustard oil. To this add roughly chopped squares of onion & capsicum.
You can use spices and sauces of your choice - maggie magic masala / pasta sauce /soya and chilli sauce/ hot & sour .. or plain old turmeric, red chilli & salt. Toss in the soya nuggets, cook for a while and finish off with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice . Couldn't get easier, faster & tastier than this.
