Today, on 25th September 2024, a one-day workshop on the subject of nutrition was organized under the joint aegis of the Post Graduate Kumarbhratya Department and National Service Unit of the Post Graduate Institute of Ayurveda amid the successful conduct of the activities of the National Nutrition Month. The National Nutrition Workshop was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Vaidya Pradeep Kumar Prajapati. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Prajapati expressed his views on the subject of nutrition and said that nutrition is very important from pregnancy to old age, we all consume food daily, but we do not pay attention to which thing should be taken in what quantity, which has a negative effect on the body. Professor Prajapati said that we should keep our diet satvik by following the principles of Ayurveda, as well as keep our thoughts satvik, there should not be any kind of tamasic feeling in them so that along with physical nutrition, mental nutrition can also be obtained. By doing this, man will remain healthy and will not suffer from any kind of disease. In the first scientific session of the National Nutrition Workshop, Dr. Jyoti Goyal MBBS and Nutritionist Noida told that we do not need to make many changes to get nutrition. By making a little change in our daily life, we can consume nutritious food which not only develops our personality but also gives us physical strength. In the second scientific session, Dr. Mamta Prajapati, Food and Safety Consultant, while highlighting the importance of nutrition and labeling in food and the standards of food safety, said that before consuming packaged food items or working with them, the safety standards should be seen which are marked on packaged food by the food manufacturing companies.

Dr. Manisha Goyal, Associate Professor, Department of Rasa Shastra, while describing the traditional food concepts, mentioned the amount of protein, vitamins, carbohydrates and fats in them. She also expressed her views on how the diet of Rajasthan is good. In the last session of the workshop, Dr. Namita Bhandari told that it is very important for the diet to be nutritious, which not only provides us strength and energy but also protects us from various diseases. She told how during illness we can consume nutritious food which is available in our home and family. Professor Harish Kumar Singhal, Chairman and Workshop Secretary, said that on this occasion Professor Mahendra Kumar Sharma, Principal, Professor Govind Sahay Shukla, Head of Rasa Shastra Department, Professor Chandan Singh, Head of Dravyaguna Department, Professor Govind Prasad Gupta, Head of Pathology Department, Professor Rajesh Gupta, Media Incharge and Head of Department Professor Dinesh Chandra Sharma, Head of Gynecology Department Professor A Neelima Reddy, Director of Nagarjuna Pharmacy Dr. Vijaypal Tyagi, Director of Human Resource Development Center Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Principal of Nursing Dr. Dinesh Kumar Rai, other faculty members and postgraduate scholars were present. Dr. Rajendra Purbia, Organizing Secretary, said that Dr. Vinod Kumar Swami expressed his gratitude and the program was conducted by Dr. Hemant Rajpurohit. At the beginning of the ceremony, the distinguished guests inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp in front of the statue of Lord Dhanvantri. Dr. Pooja Pareek and Dr. Niketa Pawar played a role in this work.
