Diabetes is a chronic medical condition characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood. There are two main types:
Type 1 Diabetes: An autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leading to little or no insulin production. It typically develops in children or young adults.
Type 2 Diabetes: A condition where the body becomes resistant to insulin or the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin. It often develops in adults and is associated with obesity and lifestyle factors.
