"Risk factors" for targeted Thyroid function test in pregnancy:-

1) Age>30years
2) Family history of thyroid Disease
3) Thyroid dysfunction or surgery
4) symptoms suggestive of Hypothyroidism
5) History of miscarriage or preterm delivery.
6) Type 1 Diabetes
8) Autoimmune Thyroid dysfunction
9) History of infertility

Management:-

** Maintain thyroid hormone levels within normal range.
** Pregnant women who are one thyroid hormones should have blood testing frequently during pregnancy as requirement may change.
** Maintain TSH < 2.5 mu/l in 1st trimester
& TSH < 3 mu/l in 2nd / 3rd trimester
