രണ്ടര വയസ് പ്രായമുള്ള കുട്ടിയുടെ വായിലെ കേടായ പല്ലുകൾ മുഴുവനും ഒരു ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ വേദനയില്ലാതെ / കുട്ടി അറിയാതെ ചികിത്സിച്ചു ഭംഗിയാക്കി.

The 2.5 year old kid who underwent this procedure complained of excruciating pain and swelling of the upper front region since few days.
He had severe early childhood caries affecting all his front teeth and first primary molars. A periapical abscess was noted corresponding to the upper right lateral incisor.
As he had multiple teeth to be treated and was unwilling to co-operate with multiple visits to the dental clinic, we decided to perform this case under GA.

Treatment:
SDF application on all carious teeth
Pulpectomy wrt upper right lateral incisor
Zirconia crowns for the upper anteriors
SS Crowns for the upper primary molars
GIC restorations on lower teeth.

SINGLE VISIT FREEHAND SMILE MAKEOVER

A patient came to us with multiple discolored fillings and wanted to get them redone to match his existing teeth colour.
On examination, we could see multiple blackish discolorations on the upper 4 front teeth with and a clear demarcation between the teeth and the fillings

He gave a history of getting fillings done on his upper front teeth a while back from another dentist with root canal treatment on his upper left lateral incisor.

We planned to restore his teeth with direct composites on the same visit and give a zirconia crown for the root canal treated teeth.

The tooth were restored freehand
and restored back to their original shape and colour.

A FULL MOUTH RESTORATION CASE UNDER GENERAL ANESTHESIA.

A family from the Gulf visited our clinic on a 2 week vacation. with their 5 yr old kid suffering from pain and swelling in the left lower facial region. As a consequence, the child was unable to chew food and stopped eating, the parents complained. The kid was uncooperative because of previous negative experiences with the dentist.

On examination, he had multiple cavities/carious teeth on all his primary molars and upper front teeth. Intraoral soft tissue swelling was also found associated with the upper primary molar. X-rays revealed pulpal involvement.

Since there were multiple teeth that required pulpectomy (kids root canal), crowns and other restorative work to help him eat in the future, it would require multiple lengthy visits to the clinic by an uncooperative kid. Hence, it was decided to complete the case in a single sitting under General Anesthesia.

The procedure was made possible by our Anesthetist Dr. Sreeharsha. My heartfelt gratitude to my mentor Dr. Raju Sunny for his gracious guidance throughout these years.
