Case of a 15 yr old male with swelling in the upper left anterior region.

Cbct shows well defined lesion associated with apices of the teeth 21 & 22

Treatment done: Enucleation

Gross picture shows presence of calcification in the lumen

Histopathology shows presence of varying thickness of odontogenic epithelium. Some area showing REE like epithelium while some areas show basal cuboidal cells with hyperchromatic nuclei, stellate reticulum like cells and presence of GHOST CELLS. Dystrophic calcification also evident.

Diagnosis: Calcifying Epithelial Odontogenic Cyst(simple cystic type)

50 yr old female patient with recurrence of lesion in lower left back region

On histopathology presence of islands /follicles. Peripheral cells are tall columnar and central cells are polyhedral (stellate reticulum). Some central cells show cystic degeneration & squamous metaplasia

Diagnosis: Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma

Long standing Growth on palate in an elderly male patient.

Histology shows presence of adipose tissue in the CT stroma. Adipocytes are showing characteristic signet ring appearance

Diagnosis: Lipoma

Case of a 10 yr old male pt with lack of root formation in both deciduous and permanent dentition. Generalised mobility of the teeth with continuous infection involving 46 & 85. Extraction of the involved teeth followed by ground section. Ground section revealed a classic lava flowing around boulders appearance & obliterated pulp space.
Diagnosis: Dentin dysplasia type 1
