World Preeclampsia Day | May 22
A message from Dr. Dipali Rothe, Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Venus Hospital, Kalyan West
“Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy condition, but early detection and timely care can help prevent complications for both mother and baby.”
In India, nearly 8–10% of pregnancies are affected by preeclampsia. Warning signs should never be ignored:
✔ High blood pressure
✔ Sudden swelling of hands, face, or feet
✔ Severe headaches
✔ Blurred vision
✔ Upper abdominal pain
Many women consider these symptoms as normal pregnancy changes, but they can be dangerous if left untreated.
Regular antenatal checkups, BP monitoring, and timely medical care are very important for a safe pregnancy.
Your health matters. Listen to your body and seek medical advice without delay.
