“Chai se weight badhta hai?”
Let’s talk about it.
As an Obesity Consultant, I spoke about how chai itself is not the villain — but what we add to it and how often we drink it makes the difference.
3–5 cups daily with:
❌ Excess sugar
❌ Full-fat milk
❌ Biscuits & namkeen on the side
… slowly adds hidden calories.
Chai isn’t the problem.
Habits around chai are.
You don’t need to quit chai.
You need to be mindful.
✔ Reduce sugar
✔ Control portion size
✔ Avoid mindless snacking with it
✔ Try cinnamon / ginger / elaichi for flavour instead of extra sugar
Weight loss doesn’t mean giving up your chai.
It means learning how to enjoy it smartly ☕✨
