The *World Hemophilia Day* was observed under the aegis of the *Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter*. The event, held at Hotel Royal Omars, Kannur, was presided over by Chapter President *Dr. Rameshan K* and inaugurated by the *Honorable Mayor of Kannur Corporation, Advocate P. Indira*.

*​Keynote Speakers:* Chapter Secretary Muhammad Thayyib, National Health Mission (NHM) Kannur *District Program Manager Dr. Anil Kumar P*, Psychology Counselor Ramsheeda Rasheed, and Chapter Treasurer Dr. Pradeep Kumar E.V. addressed the gathering.

*​Educational Sessions:*

*​Dr. Rameshan K* led an awareness session on the *latest advancements in Hemophilia treatment.*

*​Ramsheeda Rasheed* conducted a session on *Mental Health Awareness.*

*​Special Honor*: Shri *Sanoop Mohan*, a member of the Hemophilia Chapter who was recently elected as the President of Cheruthazham Panchayat, was honored during the function.

*​Awards:* Certificates were distributed to the winners of the Hemophilia Federation of India awards.

*​Administrative Meeting:* The Annual General Body meeting followed the ceremony, where the activity and financial reports for the year *2025-26* were presented.

*​Significant Announcement:*

​A major highlight of the event was the announcement by *Dr. Anil Kumar P (DPM, NHM, Kannur)* regarding the progress of upgrading *Pariyaram Medical College into a Comprehensive Treatment Center for Hemophilia patients.*

*The Mayor, Advocate P. Indira, assured that patients with Hemophilia residing within the limits of the Kannur Corporation would be included in relevant welfare schemes to provide them with the necessary assistance*

​The event saw the participation of *approximately 100 people*, including patients and their family members.

*World Physiotherapy Day*

Greetings from Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter. In connection with World Physiotherapy Day, Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter organized a questionnaire session titled *Ask to Physiotherapist* under the leadership of youth group. Through the society whatsapp group, chapter members shared their doubts and The Physiotherapist *Mrs Sruthi Janardhanan (District hospital Kannur, palliative department)* cleared the doubts.

*Folk song feast*

Folk Lore Award winner Prajeesh S K was felicitated by Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter.
Then there was a folk song feast under his leadership.
The melody of folk songs enthralled the listeners.

*PhysioTherapy Camp*

Physiotherapy camp was held under the auspices of Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter and INTAS Foundation.
Physiotherapy demo class done by Physiotherapist Mr Jazil sir with the support of the Kannur chapter youth leader Mr Akash. And INTAS Foundation Haemophilia Program Coordinator Mr Ashiq and Project Associate Mrs Thripthi were distributed Physiotherapy Kits to around 70 patients.

Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter's Onam celebration *Hemonam 2023*, Physiotherapy Camp with the help of INTAS Foundation and distribution of Physiotherapy Kits to patients was held on 3rd September 2023,Sunday at Pariyaram Public School Hall. Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter Secretary Muhammad Thayyib welcomed and The President Dr. Ramesan presided over the function. The program Inaugurated by Dr. Premalatha TK, Principal of Government Medical College, Kannur.
In the event, renowned folk singer and folklore award winner Shri Prajeesh S.K was felicitated by Kannur Chapter. INTAS Foundation Project Associate Mrs. Thripti Jose delivered the felicitation, and The Program Convener Mrs. Hawwa TP noted vote of thanks.

On the occasion of World Haemophilia Day, NHM State Nodal Officer Dr Rahul Sir, who was to be the Chief Guest, could not attend due to some special circumstances, but Dr Rahul Sir was brought to the program by the brilliant work from little Srirag, a member of Kannur Chapter and native of Kasaragod.

*Hemophilia Day Celebration and Annual General Body Meeting was held by Kannur Chapter*

Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter organized World Hemophilia Day and Annual General Body Meeting on 11th May Thursday at Royal Omars Hotel, Kannur. Honorable District Panchayat President Divya PP inaugurated the function. Chapter Secretary Mohammad Tayyib welcomed the ceremony and Hemophilia Society Kannur Chapter President Dr Rameshan Sir presided over the function.
There was a session on *Advanced Treatment in Haemophilia* by *Dr Chandran Sir (Hematologist , Malabar Cancer Center Thalassery)* and also a talk of *Hemophilia Chapters and its activities* by *Jimmy Manuel Sir (HFI RCC South )*
During the sessions, the doubt clearing done by the patients with them were impressive. In the ceremony, last year's SSLC and Plus Two winning students were felicitated.
Chapter Keyperson Abdul Vasith thanked for the event which was attended by around 150 people.

The general body meeting of Chapter held after the lunch. Secretary Muhammad Tayyib presented the report and Treasurer Dr. Pradeep Kumar explained the income and expenditure figures. Then there was a discussion on the report led by chapter president Dr. Ramesan sir and there was good participation from the members. Finally the report was passed unanimously.

The executive committee with
*Dr. Ramesan Sir (President), Muhammad Thayyib (Secretary), Dr Pradeep Kumar ( treasurer) and Abdul Vasith ( Keyperson)* who came into existence last year was elected for another year.
