Ayurvedic principles state a strong connection between food and the human mind. The mind is directly influenced by the quality, method of preparation, appearance, freshness and aroma of food. Ayurveda advocates that the quality of food influences mental agility and vigour and even emotion.

In order to understand the inter-relationship between food and mind, it is important to understand the three gunas (qualities) of human beings – Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Sattva is associated with goodness, positivity, selflessness, purity etc. Rajas is associated with all qualities that determine our actions and movement (thinking, working, making decisions), energy, anger, passion, aggression etc. Tamas is associated with all that hinders mental progress, motion and action like sleeping, sitting aimlessly, harbouring negative feelings like greed, jealousy etc. [i]
Ayurveda has classified the food groups also based on the gunas as Satvik, Rajasic and Tamasic foods.

One yoga style does not fit all doshas. Vata people, for instance, can
become agitated by a fast-paced class. They require a floor-based
practice that grounds their excess nervous tension. Pittas need an
emotionally relaxing practice that won't overheat them. And Kaphas
would benefit from a practice that is challenging, energizing, and warming.

AYURVEDIC DIET"

As our body is the most major weapon for every individual
in this universe, we should take care of it, and if we want it
to work properly then then we have to fulfil the needs of our
weapon with proper oiling and greecing in terms of
nutrition.

According to Ayurveda, your diet should consists of
balanced food items in it with maximum capability of
absorption and better digestion properties too.

Ayurveda states that, from time of intake of food to age and
gender these kind of small factors too affect your diet.

Lets come back to the last point and try to figure out some
positivity in it, in ayurveda small factors too affect, for you
this vould be like it is a typical task to observe these small
factors but what if we say that these small factors can be
controlled easily with normal humanly efforts, and that is
the double plus point here that we dont have to apply a
rocket science in maintaining our body perfect with the help
of proper nutrtion.

All we have to do is, to keep these small factors in our mind
which are mentioned above and practice it atleast for 21
days for making it a proper nutrtion habit.

What is better Ayurveda or Other methods of treatment? Now, this is the most common question that comes to everyone’s mind when we think of treating any disease.

Other method of treatment gives you a quick relief compared to Ayurvedic treatment.
However, the fact is that Ayurvedic treatment is slower is true but it also true that it provides permanent relief.

Other method of treatment has many side effects of its own. It is one of the other method's big Disadvantage. Each medicine is correlated with many side effects that we have to take more medications to treat.
We blindly conclude that Ayurvedic drugs will do us no harm when it comes to Ayurveda because they are made up of herbs and natural products.

There is more to yoga and Ayurveda than just asanas and medicinal plants ! Both of them encompass all of human life and the entire universe. Both Yoga and Ayurveda are historically closely related and have developed in tandem with each other since ancient times. They have diverged in modern times, over the last hundred and fifty years, particularly outside of India, in which Yoga without Ayurveda was for a long time the norm. However, Yoga and Ayurveda are becoming reconnected again, not only in India but across the globe. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that theirreintegrationis the reintegration of the circle of consciousness, life, healing and transformation! Therefore, it is important to understand the respective roles of Ayurveda and Yoga in the Vedic system.

Because we cannot scrub our inner body we need to learn a skill that is called oil pulling. Also known as "Gandusha" or "Kavala", a dental technique that involves swishing little oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for few minutes and then spitting it out. This action is excellent for dental hygiene & health and also draws out toxins in the body. As we are all using this time to take better care of our health and improve our immunity.
