Join the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) – use antibiotics wisely so they remain effective in treating serious disease. Some simple things you can do to help:

1. Follow your health professional’s instructions for prescribed antibiotics

2. Return unused antibiotics to your pharmacist who will dispose of them safely

3. Don’t use antibiotics prescribed for other people.

4. Don’t pressure your doctor for antibiotics if they say you don’t need them

5. Remember, antibiotics don’t work against viruses – they only work against particular bacteria in certain conditions.

Negligence Of Infectious Disease: Emerging and Re-emerging of Infectious Diseases In India

Infectious disease is neglected since forever even there.
Most of the time the right diagnosis couldn't be made because of the traditional practice of limiting infectious disease to only certain infections like Dengue, Malaria and Typhoid.
Other than these infections no other type of infections is taken into consideration for diagnosis and thus most of the times the real disease remains undiagnosed.

* Think about NEGLECTED TROPICAL DISEASES (NTD)
(Filariasis,Leprosy,Ascariasis,Amoebiasis,Cysticercosis)

* Think about other microbial infections for diagnosing a fever.
Scrub Typhus, Leptospirosis, Leishmaniasis, Chikungunya, Influenza - H1N1, Plague, Diptheria, Fungal Diseases.
