Robot assisted surgery give a new hope to women who have undergone Tubal ligation and should they choose to reverse the procedure in order to conceive again.

Very glad to share this case of Triplets conceived together in September 2020 but born in a span of 3.5 years. The patient presented as primary sub fertility with tubal blockage. We did a laparoscopic BL salpingectomy for tubercular Pyosalpinx. She rcvd ATT for 9 months and underwent IVF in September 2020. We formed 8 embryos of which 3 were transferred and 5 were frozen. She delivered a healthy Female baby in in June 2021. We kept her embryos cryopreserved. The couple returned in 2024 for a second IVF cycle with their frozen embryos. This cycle she conceived twins who were delivered this week at 32 weeks of gestation due to PROM. Both babies are doing fine under our brilliant neonatologist. Technically all three were concieved together but have a 3.5 year age gap. This is a third set of couples who have accessed their frozen embryos after having a successful pregnancy in the first round. Most couples do not return if they have had a baby. We cannot keep embryos more than 5 years.

These results speak volumes about our Frozen program in which the entire team of IVF technicians embryologist IVF nurse in keeping embryos nourished with Liquid nitrogen and state of ART sterility maintenance for years together. Dr Yuthika Sharma presented her first 25 cases of Robot Assisted Gynae surgeries done at Regency Hospital, infront of the Consultants and Residents of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecolgy, GSVM medical college Kanpur. She steerheaded a Robotics workshop for the students. Prof Neena Gupta Head of Department Obstetric and Gynaecology GSVM, Congratulated Dr Yuthika Sharma on performing the the First Robot assisted Gynaesurgery in Uttar Pradesh. The use of a Robot for minimal access myomectomy has many advantages over a laparoscopic procedure. Post-operative pain is significantly low due to the remote sensing technology of Robotic ports besides the precision of dissection due to advanced resolution and differentiation of tissue layers. The dexterity of robotic instruments due to stability, wider range, and wristed angulations leads to minimal blood loss and lesser tissue damage in healthy areas even in the most difficult of cases. For the patient, this means less hospital stay, faster recovery, and quick return to function.
