सेटिरिज़िन (से टी रा ज़ीन) एलर्जी के लक्षणों को रोकता है और उनका इलाज करता है, जैसे कि लाल, खुजली वाली आँखें, छींकना, बहती या भरी हुई नाक, या पित्ती। यह हिस्टामाइन को अवरुद्ध करके काम करता है, जो एलर्जी प्रतिक्रिया के दौरान शरीर द्वारा जारी किया जाने वाला पदार्थ है।
एलर्जी के लिए, 2 वर्ष से कम आयु के बच्चों को इसका उपयोग न करें। कारण: FDA द्वारा अनुमोदित नहीं है। 2 - 6 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों के लिए, उपयोग करने से पहले अपने बच्चे के डॉक्टर से बात करें। जुकाम के लिए, किसी भी उम्र में इसकी सलाह नहीं दी जाती है।
