ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰੈਸਕਿਊ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਕ ਅੱਠ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਵੀਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਿਡਨੀ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹਤ ਸੀ, ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਦਾਖਿਲ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਰਚ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
