UPUMS, Saifai is a premier autonomous medical institute which is also UP's 2nd Medical University offers MBBS, MD, MS, MDS,Paramedical, Nursing and Pharmacy courses. Presently it has 150 MBBS seats, 80 PG seats and around 500 Paramedical seats. It has an 800-bedded fully air-conditioned Hospital and Super Speciality OPDs. The newly constructed 150-bedded Emergency, Burn and Trauma Centre will soon be functional. Apart from that, construction of a 500-bedded Super-speciality Block is also in full swing. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, a state government run medical college affiliated with Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj Medical University Kanpur was established in Saifai village, District Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. It was established by UPRIMS&R, Saifai, Act 2005 notified on 15 December 2005. course started in 2006, M.D. course started in 2011, M.S. course started in 2013, MDS course started in 2014 and Mch courses started in 2020.[ Paramedical and Nursing Colleges of Institute started in 2012 and Pharmacy College started in 2015. In February 2015, Government of Uttar Pradesh started the process of establishing a university of medical sciences in Saifai, Etawah by upgrading existing U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. On 4 February 2015, the state assembly passed a bill named "Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, Etawah Bill-2015".[On 2 May 2016 the Bill was approved and it became a university on 5 June 2016. The College unit of Indian Medicos Organization was established in 2018 under the supervision of National President Dr. Niraj Kumar Yadav and other university members. Indian Medicos Organization is the Medical Wing of Rashtriya Samajsevi Parishad (RSP). IMO working since 2003 is a unique organization of qualified doctors and medical students of various streams of medicine ( allopathic, ayurvedic, homeopathic, Unani, Dental, Yoga, Sidha, Naturopathy etc.). It is the largest medical organization in India in this large number of doctors of various streams and discipline works together to serve the humanity. It aims to organise and motivate them for serving the underprivileged sections of the society by a process of adoption of slum areas by individual units and developing a commitment of the members for this cause. IMO organize various health camps and health awareness drive especially in rural remote and deprived areas where basic health facilities are still a big issue. IMO delegates organise blood donation camps in various parts of the country on the occasion of national blood donation day. IMO Attempts to develop a good academic atmosphere in a medical colleges through better teacher-student relationship and organising programs for National character building. Structural Framework :-

1. National health awareness drive.
2. Conduct health camps in rural &remote areas.
3. Blood donation from time to time.
4. Mother and child health awareness programs.
5. Serve the people in disastrous and epidemic situations.
6. Self help for doctors community
7. IMO attempts to develop good academic atmosphere in medical college.
8. To promote and advance medical and allied sciences in all their different branches.
9. To promote the improvement of public health and medical education in India.
10. To maintain the honour and dignity and to uphold the interest of medical profession and to promote cooperation amongst the members thereof.
11. Conduct educational campaign amongst people of India in the matter of public health.
12. Arrange from time to time conferences, lectures, demonstrations and discussions on any aspects of medical and allied sciences.
13. Maintain a library and an organisation office.
14. Erect, maintain improve or alter and keep in repair any building for the purpose of organisation.
15. Do all such other things as are cognate to the objects of the organization or are incidental or conducive to the attinment of the above objects.
