Grievance details:
Dear Sir,
Most of the families in this district have a sad story of losing someone dear, as there is no emergency or multi-speciality hospital in the entire district. We are from the district Uttara Kannada, in Karnataka. It's a norm there, the patients in critical condition, traveling at least 100-200 km. This district does not have any good healthcare infrastructure for around 15 lacs people living in 12 talukas. People of this district have been requesting/demanding a good medical hospital and a trauma center for over decades. Our MP Shri Ananth Kumar Hegde and MLAs have believed that people traveling to other districts with patients in critical condition is Ok.
Sir, we Uttara Kannadigas are NOT OK with traveling to the neighboring districts for themuch-neededd medical treatment. Good medical facility is the basic need of our people, atleast now while entire country celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav. Even after 75years, if we don't get our basic rights ,then when do we get them? How many more people should die in ambulance while traveling or in other districts because they didn't get the required treatment in time?
Sir, the people of our district demand for AIIMS hospital facility and want all the elected representatives of our District and State to work towards this as the highest priority. People's patience has been tested enough and people are ready to boycott the next election if the government does not start working on giving us the much-required medical infrastructure.
