Dear Friends,
Roti, kapda aur Makan are the basic necessities of a person. Unless these basic necessities are met, the growth and development of an individual or the nation is not possible. At the same time, the development of a nation is possible only after the development and growth of all sections of people. During the cold weather, the need of Kapda i.e. cloths is multifold amongst the poor/needy people. Village Library and Information Center, once again, identified the problem and contributed in solving the problem.
Village Library and Information Center is glad to have successfully conducted a Cloth donation program amongst poor/needy people in a village so that they can save themselves from the cold of coming winter season. The team of Village Library & Information Center created awareness on how a small act of ours can help the people in need and by that collected cloths from villagers, who were willing to contribute to this noble cause. At the same time, poor/needy people were informed to come to Village Library and Information Center at the scheduled time and collect cloth.
There was an overwhelming response for this initiative as there were 100+ poor/needy people who came to Village Library & Information Center to receive the cloth and 60+ cloths were collected and donated to the needy ones. This is an example of how we can help our neighbors with a small act of ours.
The program started with a small speech on the growth and development of an individual and the nation by an elderly person of the village. The importance and benefits of village library and information center and was also highlighted amongst the audience. More than 10 elderly persons were invited to the program to distribute the cloths by their own hand to the poor/needy people of village. The records were maintained about the items (Shirt, pant, jeans, t-shirt, coat, jacket, muffler, sweater, shawl, etc.) which were distributed and about the people who received cloths. The poor/needy people came from different gender and age group i.e. children, girls, women, elderly person, etc. and went back with clothes in hand a cheerful smile on face. The program was covered and reported by "Sahara Samay".
Village Library and Information Center thanks everyone who was involved in this program. This is another act of village library and information center towards the holistic and collective growth of us and our nation.
Wish you all a warm winter.
Thank You,
