Celebrating Research and Innovation at SMST – Research Scholars' Day 2025
We are delighted to share that the Research Scholars' Day 2025 was successfully held on April 12, 2025, at the School of Medical Science and Technology (SMST). The day brought together scholars, researchers, and faculty to celebrate ongoing research and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.
The event began with a warm inaugural session, including a welcome address by the Chairman, SMST. It was followed by a series of thought-provoking plenary talks by distinguished speakers:
Prof. Suman Chakraborty: “Innovations in Affordable and Accessible Diagnostic Technologies for Resource-Limited Settings”
Dr. Soumendranath Ray: “Radionuclides in Medicine and Concept of Theranostics”
Prof. Sourav Ghosh: “Immune Responses to Cell Death and/or Damage”
Prof. Bhupendra Nath Dev: “Quantum Life: The Stride of Quantum Physics into Biology”
The day also featured a poster walk, a high-end instrument presentation, and engaging sessions such as a panel discussion on “Post PhD Opportunities” and a short segment on “Life Beyond Academics.” The event concluded with a closing ceremony and awards distribution, recognizing the outstanding contributions of our scholars.
