Quest # 31: Do God has the knowledge of the death of human being i.e. when, where and how the death will take place?
Answer: Again the same Quest! All physical bodies, which are created, will perish one day. One, who is born, will have to die sooner or later. Everyone will die, that is certain, but when, where and how, no one knows the Answer to that Quest, [Even God] i.e. the exact time of one’s death. Assume that if God knows the time-place and circumstances of someone’s death, then that free agent must have to be present at that particular place and time, to die. That particular free agent will be not called a free agent anymore, because his freedom will be controlled by the Superior One. God does not interfere in the freedom of any agent, He is Just. God always lives in the present and will be present in future too. His knowledge is always uniform and uninterrupted.
The soul is a free agent. When the body (in which it resides) dies, only then God, who always exists within the soul as viewer (“Antardevo Vidathaa Mrityeshu” Rigveda 6-11-2), comes to know of that incident. In this way His knowledge remains uniform hence not increased or decreased or interrupted.
God is All-pervading i.e. He is Omnipresent, exists in man’s heart. He is the viewer and witness to each and every action of the soul. Being Omniscient the Supreme Soul certainly knows the capability of the soul and impressions of its infinite past lives. God knows, as soon as the soul acts.
According to the Vedic theory, the age of man is 100 years, if he lives his life according to the laws of nature, by keeping to the righteous path; by offering proper prayers, etc. to the Lord, by practicing Yogic exercises regularly, engaging in studies, and working righteously. All creatures including man, comes into the circle of death, once they take birth or in other words, everyone who is born has to cross the gates of death. No living being can live forever in this world.
